About Bountiful Travel

2 Nephi 25:5-6 “Yea, and my soul delighteth in the words of Isaiah, for I came out from Jerusalem, and mine eyes hath beheld the things of the Jews, and I know that the Jews do understand the things of the prophets, and there is none other people that understand the things which were spoken unto the Jews like unto them, save it be that they are taught after the manner of the things of the Jews. But behold, I, Nephi, have not taught my children after the manner of the Jews; but behold, I, of myself, have dwelt at Jerusalem, wherefore I know concerning the regions round about.”

Why Bountiful Travel?

  • Scripture Use: Our tours are ideally suited for the individual looking for an education-week type experience. We focus on teaching with the scriptures as our primary source.
  • Small group sizes: We will not go over two bus loads (and typically we have just one bus) on our shore excursions. To try and manage large groups on the shore excursions is difficult. You will have more time to see the sites with smaller groups. Most of our groups have about 40 participants.
  • Great shore excursions: We go to the best sites at every possible port stop.
  • Reasonable prices: Top of the line shore excursions and cruises at great rates.

Scriptures: We love to teach the scriptures and our tours emphasize the use of the scriptures as our primary source. We believe that the accounts of both the Bible and the Book of Mormon are brought to life by understanding them in their cultural context. We use the geographical setting of the places we travel to introduce doctrinal discussion.

Small Group Sizes: Our groups are typically around 40 people total. We typically will not go over one bus on our tours and shore excursions. Shore excursions only allow 8 to 10 hours to visit sites that can be difficult to get to. With large groups, you will have very little time at the ruins.

Guides: We will personally guide and instruct on all of our tours and cruises, and many of our trips will also feature other prominent LDS scholars. We believe having one (or both) of us in addition to a guest speaker allows for a broader knowledge backgound and facilitates a smoother vacation experience. Remember to bring your scriptures on our tours as they will be greatly utilized in all the instruction.
