Daily Itinerary
Day 1 (Saturday) - Today we will fly to Guatemala City. We will be staying at the Marriott next to the airport.

Day 2 (Sunday) – After our buffet breakfast at the Marriott, we will attend church at a ward in Guatemala City. Following church, we will board our bus and head towards the largest native market in Central America at Chichicastenango. On the way we will stop for fruits pies and light lunch. We’ll arrive in the evening to our hotel that overlooks the beautiful Lake Atitlan. (B,L,D)

Day 3 (Monday) - Monday will be spent tour the Lake Atitlan area. We will take a boat ride out over the lake where we will have the option of visiting Maya villages, cliff jumping and shopping. After the boat ride, we will visit a local museum in which we will find pottery from underwater villages that date back to the time of christ. The rest of the afternoon will be free to barter with the local vendors, walk along the lake, or just relax. (B, D)

Day 4 (Tuesday) - Today we will travel back to Guatemala City where we will catch our afternoon flight to Flores. Time permitting, we will see either the ruins of Iximche or Kaminaljuyu. After a short 45 minute flight, we’ll arrive at our beautiful hotel in Flores, the Peten Esplendido. (B,D)

Day 5 (Wednesday) - This morning after breakfast we will visit the awe-inspiring ruins of Tikal including the lost world complex which dates back to Book of Mormon times. We will discuss the East Wilderness of the Book of Mormon from both a historical and spiritual perspective. Our guide will teach about the incredible rainforest and the Maya ruins. We will climb Temple 4 for the amazing view of the surrounding forest canopy. Lunch will be served at Tikal. After our visit to Tikal, we will board the bus and head to Succotz where we will stay at the San Ignacio Resort. (B,L,D)

Day 6 (Thursday) - This morning, we will head to the nature reserve where we will get to experience the jungle from the tree tops as we zipline through the forest (optional). We’ll cool down and relax as we float through the underground rivers on tubes. We’ll then take our bus into Belize City to the Best Western hotel. (B,L,D)

Day 7 (Friday) - Today we’ll take an exciting speed-boat ride down the New River. Once we arrive at the ruins of Lamanai, we’ll enjoy a Belizean lunch and then begin our exploration. This magnificent features ruins, wildlife and fauna. Look for howler monkeys, climb ruins, or relax by a Maya ballcourt. After a full day at the ruin, we’ll head back to our hotel. (B,L,D)

Day 8 (Saturday) - The last full day of our adventure will be spent on the beautiful Belizean island of Caye Caulker. We will take a water shuttle from Belize City to the island. From there we will go out to the reef and snorkel at the nature reserve of Hol Chan. See beautiful coral reefs and an array of marine life. We’ll procede to shark alley where those who would like can swim with the stingrays and nurse sharks. Lunch will be served back at the beach. (B,L,D)

Day 9 (Sunday) - Breakfast and transfer to the airport for flights home.
